“A fantastic phone with a poor battery life!
Camera is even better than expected.
Software is great (apart from Pixel gesture system - a bit clunky)
Speakers sound good, nice separation in sounds between both front facing speakers
Earphones provided have good sound and also do not block out external noise - useful for commuting and walking
Great quality screen
Beautiful luxury build with a nice weight
However, the battery does not last as long as expected - especially being a device which has unrivalled access to the android software and an expensive team poached from other companies working on hardware. The full control of both hardware and software should lead to a better battery - sometimes I don't even get half a day!
Overall, a fantastic phone, I am a heavy user so that may impact the battery more than the average joe.”

The rear-facing camera is fantastic and produces photos so rich with lighting and detail. 'Night Sight' (a mode for low-light conditions) is very impressive.
The beauty of having a Google phone is that you will be the first to have the latest Android version and this is reassuring knowing that your phone will be running on the most optimised operating system.
I considered both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL but I wanted a phone similar in size to the Galaxy S8, so this meant I went for the Pixel 3. The two most obvious differences between the two being the battery capacity and physical/screen size. The hardware and software is the same, and for me this sealed which I should go for.”
