“I skipped from an iPhone 4S (which I used for 6years) into an iPhone 8 and of course now greatly enjoy the larger screen and being able to use certain apps- given that the 4S was cut from future iOS support. I transferred everything from the 4S onto the 8 via my Mac easily enough (although the ‘you need an update’ message is a bit misleading when ‘restoring’ the information into the new phone as it doesn’t appear to be doing anything, so just waiting a few minutes would resolve that now I know).
I can’t say the difference has blown my mind from the 4 to the 8 as it’s all familiar iPhone functionality. However picking up the 4 again makes you realise the feedback touch is different and improved and the sizing of the screen is so much nicer. Greatly enjoy the phone.”
“I upgraded from an iPhone 6. It was easy to move everything over to the 8, all it required was setting the phones side by side. As expected it runs much quicker and the extra space is a god send. The camera is a great improvement. I wasn’t sure what to think of the non-button to get back to the home screen but now I prefer it. Overall it’s been a really worthwhile and (so far) trouble free upgrade.”
