Very happy with phone, very impressed with battery life and camera features. Have not been brave enough to test waterproof yet.

This review is compared to my previous phone a Google Nexus 4. Even though they are practically the same size, the Z3 compact feels smaller and more svelte. Battery life is streets ahead with 3-4 days between charges possible with light use. Camera is miles better with great quality images and some fun special effects. Screen quality and clarity is on a par with the Nexus so no complaints there. Charging is a bit of a faff as you have to open a small cover to gain access to the port, presumably to keep the phone waterproof. As with all Sony phones, they like to add their stamp to any Android updates so it takes a while to get the latest software updates compared to some other makes. Oh yeas, nearly forgot it makes phone calls too!

Brilliant phone, good battery life, waterproof... I did careful research before plumping for the Z3c and I love everything. Only problem has been that I have had two Z3Cs that both had a pink tint in the camera in some pictures (google "sony z3 pink spot" to check it out). Sony don't seem to be doing much about it yet but hopefully it will be fixed, a shame otherwise. Recommend that you get the sony magnetic charging cable to save opening the side door daily. .

At last a smart phone with a battery life longer than one day and not big and bulky. I wanted a good spec smart phone, but was not too big to carry around all day in my pocket and most importantly with a good battery life and this does it all. Battery easily lasts two days between charges despite taking and making 20+ calls a day.
