“After 15+ years of Samsung phones, I wanted to try something different. I like the idea of a really good camera as I may ditch my Travel Zoom compact camera. Also, new phones these days are an anticlimax. YOu pay hundreds or over a thousand pounds for a phone that is roughly the same as the old one, but a bit fast and has a slightly better camera. Samsung annoyed me with the fact they use different processors in the same mobile for different territories. In the UK you can get a slower processor than the same model bought in the US. So I found the new Google pixel refreshingly new. It is fast and it does have a good camera. I haven't encountered any of the bugs reported by other early adopters of this phone. It's a bit on the big side for me. I would have preferred the size of the Pixel 6 but I needed the Pro's extra features.”
“Is this the flagship of flagship phones? I think so. The camera is utterly flawless. I've never known a phone to open the camera so fast and produce perfect photos without setup time after time. It's also great to have an Android phone without unnecessary bloatware and apps. A decent case is needed because it's a slippery sucker.
It's fast, best camera I've ever seen, decent battery, beautiful screen, responsive, lovely aesthetics including vibration and unique sounds. Love it.”
