“I am a basic phone user and bought the Samsung A3 for the camera.
The phone has a great quality feel, is stylish and not too big. Download and data response times are quick and camera is great, really clear pics.
Downsides, any text over 160 characters automatically converts to an MMS message which gets charged for. This is a real pain if you use any of the wide choice of emoticons coz each emoticon uses up about 92 characters of your 160 character text allowance. All a bit if a ripoff really!!
Secondly, the updates. You never know what is going to be changed. Most recent one removed the mute option when you press the power button. So now cant mute the phone can only turn it fully off!

“The Galaxy A3 was free on the contract offered and at first appeared to be a good choice. However the battery life was very poor, even with fairly light usage and few extra apps installed. I decided to exchange the handset for an S5 on the same contract and although there was an upfront cost it was worth it for a better handset. Mobiles.co.uk were very helpful and arranged a pain free swap with no issues.”
