“Had the Galaxy S3 mini previously. Liked that because it was about as compact a smart phone I could get at the time. Personally I wouldn't describe this phone as mini. But I guess it is compared to the standard S5. Didn't want to switch away from Samsung unless there was something really crying out to me and of the other small/mini phones available, there really wasn't. They've slightly changed some functions on the phone, but it didn't take long to get used to it. All in all though very happy that it does what I need it to. On the go camera, 50gb+ of music/podcasts/video for while travelling, sat nav, personal organiser and as an actual phone. It does all this well, lasts a whole day of heavy usage on a single charge and while not very compact, is more compact the most phones you can get nowadays.”

Price was extremely good, I.e. only £18 per month with no up front cash payment .
This compares with £23 per month plus £39.99 cash payment if I had gone directly to the O2 store. Overall I have saved approx £160 over the two year contract, which is excellent value.
The S5 mini is a fabulous phone and whilst my main usage is sending occasional text messages making phone calls and taking a few photos the other facilities it provides are considerable.
