Battery life has not made the progress the rest of the phone has. Sony still have the rest of the android world behind them”
“Delivery: nice and quick and on time.
Billing: Somewhere between mobiles.co.uk and vodafone they managed to not set up my direct debit properly, I rang vodafone and the first person told me it was all fine... which it clearly wasn't when my line was cancelled a few days later. It's now (hopefully) sorted, but not a great start.
Hardware: The phone itself is ok, I wouldn't describe it as the most amazing things I've ever used, I've come from a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, and was hoping for better battery life (I do, with careful handling, now get 2 days) and a faster processor (definitely true) but it doesn't 'wow' me in the same way as some other new phones have.
Software: I was quite surprised by the lower quality of the built-in apps & android customisations - I wouldn't say they were as good as Samsung's, for instance there's no menu option to put the phone on 'silent'! That sort of thing can be fixed by an app, but I do seemed to have spent quite a lot of time finding apps to work around the basic features of the phone.
Overall: I've had it for about 3 weeks, and I'd say it was fine, but I don't see myself becoming a Sony fanboy on the basis of this... maybe once I've taken it swimming (which is against the warranty, despite apparently being waterproof... will only be doing THAT when I'm out of contract!) I'll have more of an appreciation for it!”
“Really slow. Disappointed with it's writing ability especially, the keypad is not very sensitive and misses characters. Texting is strange, it has a mind of it's own and drives me crazy!”
“Great service, quick delivery but the phone did not come with headphones. I emailed the company Mobiles.co.uk, but did not get a reply. The small print said that sometimes items are out of stock and would be delivered later. I have still not received any headphones and it's been over a month!”
“I have only had this for a month so am wary about extolling it's virtues too much, but I have to say that this phone is great.
I preferred the style of my old Sony mobile (curved rubberised back) but the rest of the package, especially camera and storage is far superior.
I am very happy with my choice.”
