“This is a fine phone. It's quite large, but not so much as to cause an unsightly bulge in your pocket or eat all the space in your purse (if you have one). The various functions are what you would expect from Sony and something labelled premium. Battery life is good, but not sensational. The vaunted 4K screen resolution isn't noticeable truly, though the quality of video streaming is generally as good as anything else I've seen (not that I am a phone wonk, so I'm drawing from a limited selection in all honesty). I use it perfectly happily for all sorts of things, including diarising, researching and emailing for work, and various recreational activities such as listening to music and whatnot.
If you are a normal human being who wants a phone, as opposed to someone who has to have a fashion accessory or something, there is no reason that I am aware of (as yet) why this iteration of the Z5 could not be recommended.”
“I am a great believer in Sony products especially the Xperia Z range. I also use Z2 and z4 tablets. I was excited to receive my Z5 premium chrome and I am not sure if I have made the right choice. Although the phone looks good with its polished chrome back, it is also quite heavy which is unusual for Sony and although it is the first phone to feature 4k viewing, the display on the normal Z5 has an excellent screen and because the case isn't chrome it is lighter. I have some issues with the battery life, it doesn't seem to be as good as I hoped it would be but I will see how it fairs over the next few weeks.”
“The black z5 premium had nothing but issues for me personally... Mainly the microphone when making calls... People couldn't hear me when I was speaking...even tho microphone was ''ok'' on testing... Had this problem on multiple devices until I was recommended the chrome version of z5 premium... I was overall happy with the service from mobiles...but the phone quality was poor at best for the models I had previous to getting chrome version.”
“Its an expensive phone but the usability is amazing! Battery life does seem to be really long, it estimates over 4days on stamina mode, typically Im only getting down to 50% after a full day of use. Camera isnt as good as i would have expected given the specs.

“A quality handset, a vast step up from the Samsung S4 and S5 I had previously, this has an air of quality about it. Everything works as it should and that battery lasts ages, you have the additional options of stamina mode that shuts down none essential programs to make it last several days. Charges fast. I'm very happy with it.”
