“I placed my order after checking and double checking all the details on the deal I was looking at. I ordered the black version of the phone because it was the only version that was offering 5GB data at £28pcm. The other colours had exactly the same deal, except at £33pcm. So even though it wasn't my first choice colour, I ordered black for the £5pcm saving.
I got the phone and everything was fine until I got my first letter from the network stating I'm on a £33pcm contract. I rang mobiles.co.uk because their site wouldn't log me into my account using either my number, email, or order ref - or any combo of the above. After being on hold for an hour or so they said I must have ordered the £33pcm by mistake. I insisted I was 100% sure and had checked multiple times and I definitely ordered the £28pcm one. Of course I had no way to prove it as I didn't think to take screenshots while ordering - who expects a company to just blatantly up the price on you after you order?
Here's the kicker - the guy on the phone admitted that it was possible I was correct, but without proof there was nothing they would do to help. They wouldn't change the order, give me the colour I wanted, put me on the correct tariff, or even offer a partial refund or compensation. I told him you can go on the site now, you still have this issue whereby you can get this phone on a 5GB deal for exactly the same price as a 1GB deal with everything else being exactly the same. If you notice this - BE CAREFUL! You may end up in my situation and opt for the 5GB one, only to see after your order's gone through that they're charging you a fiver a month more than the tariff you selected.
The guy told me to log into my account to verify what I ordered and I explained I can't because it keeps saying my details are invalid. He said "well I can log in using your details". Good for you mate, but how does that help me. I tried on Firefox and Chrome, tried using just my number, just email, just order ref. I tried using two of these fields. I tried all three fields. It gave the same error each time. Again their line was insisting that I was the one at fault, and they offered no resolution. I'm in my twenties, I know how to use a computer! I have no way of logging into my account using my correct details and somehow that's my fault, not a tech issue on your part?
Not impressed at being forced into a 2yr contract I didn't opt for, nor at their customer service afterwards - they take an absolute age to answer then even when they admit you may be right, they deny all responsibility and offer zero solution. So many better companies out there in this day & age - compare to my last contract which was via buymobiles .net - their customer service actually pointed out to me that the deal I was looking at could be bettered, thereby saving me a fiver a month. Like night and day with this company. Consider yourself warned!”
“This phone is fantastic! The camera was the main reason I chose this phone and it has not disappointed. The screen is large and clear and the phone itself seems very sturdy. It comes with all the features you would expect and being android I can download apps very easily.”
“I previously had the s2 and of course it was a bit old by now but i wanted to upgrade and get a faster phone for using the internet/games etc. Overall im really pleased i got the phone but the camera is still not up to scratch! Despite being Larger megapixels than the iphone. 8 out of 10 pictures are blurry and vs the iphone 5s - iphone pictures win hands down. Bit frustrating. Bit the videos are great.”
