“The crib is really beautiful and can be put together in 1.5 hours. Unfortunately we found that one of the panels had splintered wood which for this price shouldn't be the case. Think Kalon / Modern Nursery will help replace or figure it out but sort of frustrating as we already built it.”

“Yes, this crib was definitely a splurge. Was it worth it? Absolutely. For us, we don't mess around with anything that could be toxic and would expose our baby to nasty chemicals. We did tons of research and although there are many Greenguard Gold certified cribs out there, nothing compared to the materials (and lack of chemicals) that Kalon uses. We loved that the finish is an organic oil/wax so that we wouldn't have to worry about our baby chewing on the wood when he starts teething. We also liked that it's responsibly harvested wood. One other thing that I must admit we really care about are aesthetics. The crib is just as beautiful in person as it is in the photos and can work in so many different chic settings. We purchased the conversion kit as this crib converts into a daybed and we liked the idea of putting it in a playroom or other space for our child to use for years as a little sofa, even after he transitions to a big kid bed. Modern Nursery was super fast and shipped my order the same day I placed it and I was really delighted about that! You won't regret this splurge!”
