“The shoe itself is well made and extremely comfortable except for the sole which the material turns completely black with dirt and will likely wear out very quickly.
But the shoe is audibly squeaky to an embarrassing level. It is so loud that if you listen for it, can actually hear it over a noisy restaurant.
I was fine with it hoping it would break in and being told that it would, but it hasn’t in a few months of very frequent wear and seems likely that it won’t.
I tried the recommended initial water break in, tried the recommended leather conditioner multiple times, tried more water, tried the recommended powdering (don’t do this, absolutely gross).
It was a great shoe until I received comments on how loud they were from a stranger in a noisy environment and that shattered all of my comfort.”
