“My cover came about 3 inches too long for my Midwest crate I bought from Amazon. The company offered to hem it after I shipped it back at my expense. I assumed (my mistake) they would use matching thread. They used a yellow/brown thread that is quite visible. When I emailed about this they replied with, they just used what they had. I was very disappointed considering the price point of these covers. Had I to do over again, I would return the product or not purchase all together. Be warned they come extremely long and will drag on the ground. The quality control seems very lacking with this company. Yes, they hemmed it but they didn’t care about the product or who it was going to. Sad. I won’t be ordering or recommending Molly Mutt again.”

Hi Amy, We’re sorry to see your negative review come through after working with you on a fix for your issue. Unfortunately, wire crates vary in dimensions across brands and models. We try our very best to make our size chart available on all pertinent pages. You can find it on the category page and the product detail page, as well as under our Customer Service menu. Crate covers can be tricky to size properly, so we always encourage our customers to measure their crate and compare those dimensions with our size chart before ordering. We offered you a free alteration, plus free shipping back to you, to make the crate cover fit perfectly. This requires extensive work to remove all the stitching, cut the panels, and re-apply the piping. Yes, the inside serged hem is a different color thread (a light yellow) because it is rarely ever seen and this color offers the best value for it’s purpose. We would never use a glaring color that would be obvious from even a few feet away. From your photos it appears once a bed or pad is inside the crate you won’t be able to see the bottom hems at all. We’re sorry you’re not happy being able to see the vertical hems, depending on how those panels drape. However, we don’t appreciate you calling us “lazy” or saying our quality control “seems very lacking.” The work put into these free alterations was exemplary and we’re very proud of the sewers we’ve chosen to work with. “This was the 5th item we purchased from Molly Mutt since we got our golden retriever/lab mix puppy six months ago. We started with a small crate pad and crate cover, then a bed cover, and then a large crate pad and cover for a 48" crate. The products are very durable and high quality! Our puppy has not chewed through one of the Molly Mutt covers. (She did chew through a couple not-so-cheap store-bought beds.) We love the fact that we can wash the covers, and stuff them with old clothes and rags. The customer service from Molly Mutt is first rate! Shipping is fast and free. We highly recommend Molly Mutt to all dog owners!”
