Unlike many dog crate pad fillers on the market, our wool inserts are nontoxic, 100% all-natural, and chemical-free. Wool is naturally thermoregulating, so pets stay cool in summer and warm in winter.
We only work with farms that have strict growing standards:
sheep are rotated amongst a number of pastures to allow vegetation to recover from grazing
we encourage alternative medical care to keep the sheep healthy with the fewest chemicals possible
no herbicides or pesticides are used in the fields where sheep will be grazing
to go even further, our wool is randomly spot-tested for harmful chemicals
wool from the sheep's bottom & belly are separated and sold to other customers
These inserts are perfectly sized for our standard crate pad covers.

“We have the liner protecting the wool insert as well as the cover over the liner. I thought at first that the wool-filled pad insert would not hold up well and get a "dip" where our dogs lay down, but it surprisingly holds its shape! These products are very well made, excellent quality and I love that they are a local manufacturer and we can support their business.”

“Because these items were a little more expensive than others I kept on buying cheaper versions that didn't last. I spent more money on the cheaper ones than if I just made the Molly Mutt move in the beginning. So, don't make the same mistake I made, just go ahead and buy Molly Mutt right away. They are incredibly well made, comfortable and easy to maintain. Never buying anything else, you won't either once you give them a try!!”

“Very happy with this crate bed. It took my dog a little bit to get used to it at first (we think he was suspicious due to its slight sheep smell but that went away within a week). In the end its comfiness won him over! So excited to have something that will last and can age with him as he needs more support. Love this company!”

“I have loved this crate pad! I ordered the larger one, as my lab will grow to be quite large, but I have been able to put it in smaller crates for travel (30") and sleeping (36"). Once he is bigger, it will fit nicely in the 42" crate! It does smoosh down quite flat, as well.”

Hi Colleen, We love feedback from our customers and know that feedback over the years have allowed us to make incremental improvements on every one of the items that we sell. Unfortunately your comments don't give us anything to work with here. Our 100% wool-filled inserts are made from wool that is responsibly sourced here on the West Coast. The wool is hand-filled by our team here at our Oakland, CA warehouse and into a 100% cotton encasement which is then sewn shut. The quality is superb, and our wool-filled inserts receive near universal rave reviews. If there is something about the wool insert that you received that isn't working for you, we'd be pleased to hear the details so that we can resolve whatever issue has arisen.
