My son was so excited to be able to serve everyone juice on his birthday. The lid looks like it has to be facing the right direction for the liquid to come out, but this isn't the case. Just fine for us, but don't expect an "open/closed" lesson. Half a pitcher of juice is the right amount for all three of us to have a glass of juice from the "durable glasses".

The glass pitcher with lid is on our snack table. We fill it with cold water and I find that the children are drinking more water now. One child enjoys the pitcher so much that she has used it to fill a flower vase that had a silk rose in it!

This pitcher has worked perfectly for our 4 year old. She is able to carry it from the fridge, and pour milk into her cup or bowl [of cereal] without help. The only thing we do is re-fill it when it's empty. This item gives her a lot of independence. I personally also like that it is made of glass (for the main part), rather than plastic.

The best glass pitcher I've found for independent pouring at lunchtime. They are easy to clean with the wide mouth.

Child can serve self easily at the table with this well made miniature pitcher. This not only promotes independence, but conversation doesn't get interrupted by having to leave the table to refill drinks.

Our school bought the pitchers to use in the 3's classroom. Perfect size handle and pitcher. The glass makes them very heavy so it has been a tough learning curve for the students to manage pouring from a weighty object. The 4's were more able to handle the weight of the pitcher. The students love being able to pour themselves. We have learned that "spills happen" and then we clean them up--and we're still learning that one!

My four-year-old and six-year-old love pouring their own drinks at the dinner table with this pitcher. I have one with milk and one with juice always ready in the fridge. They are very durable but not too heavy for the kids. Our three-year-old neighbor enjoys pouring her drinks when she comes over.
