“Rodica was our guide, and she should be given a medal for her infinite patience! It was a long, tiring but rewarding trip across the border into Bulgaria. Some beautiful sights and scenery and even after 13 hours travelling, Rodica was still on duty, smiling as ever. Well done young lady :)”
“Honestly we came back feeling like we should never have gone. We spent hours and hours and hours driving around only to visit one monastery in a small village for a quick few minutes then to visit a fortress and that was it. The bus going there didn’t have the AC working and the weather was hot. We felt dizzy and fatigued the whole day.”
“The trip goes to interesting places and our guide was quite good. But a slow border crossing and slow traffic meant that we were quite late getting to our lunch stop; it was after 3.00 pm when we ate. You should warn people to be prepared. Also, our one hour at the fortress coincided with one hour of heavy rain. It might have been sensible to have lunch first. Then we would have been less hungry and could have viewed the fortress properly. Our second stop, Arbanassi, was advertised as a chance to explore an ancient village but all we got was a view from a rather poor lookout. But we did lunch at anexcellent restaurant.”
