“Glad I stumbled on this board. The wood backing makes for a lighter and more resistant to warping synthetic board. The brown version seems to be a durable material with just enough give to be gentle on knives. The knives don't quite bite into it, but it doesn't slip across either.”

“This is the best cutting board i have and that includes some end grain and side grain maple boards. The size is just right for cutting product and still having room for more. I have a lot of high end Japanese knives heat treated to the higher end of the Rc hardness range and the edges seem to retain their shape edges on this board. I have this board and also the Hasegawa soft board but this one is my choice and I highly recommend it.”

“Fantastic cutting board for all my needs (veggies, fruits, fish, meats). I’ve never had a “good” cutting board before, but honestly can’t imagine anything being better than this. My knives stay sharp and I don’t feel like I’m dulling them like every other cutting board out there. Very durable construction and most people can tell it’s not just your average, everyday, run of the mill board. Price + shipping is a touch steep for my liking, but well worth it if you use it a lot and care about your knives. Also awesome to have the extra space to push garlic or herbs out of the way to cut onions or other veggies. I highly, highly recommend this cutting board to anyone looking for a killer surface to do some cooking prep”
