While I'm an avid fan of MTC Kitchen and have bought many items from here both online and the NYC store, purchasing this Tamagoyaki pan has been my worst experience by far. After one use, the pan is both distorted from heating and has oil stuck to the pan that just won't come off. Even after many attempts from using soap, baking soda, vinegar, and even cleansing/degreaser formulas like Barkeeper's friend, the pan is still very dirty and the non-stick film is probably heavily damaged by now. The MTC representative was respectful but ultimately the advice didn't help and now I'm down $80 for nothing. It's very upsetting because I used to make Tamagoyaki at an omakase sushi restaurant in NYC using iron pans, and I really wish I could give copper pans another try, but I think maybe it's best to go elsewhere instead. There are a lot of instances when poorly-made products from Japan are labeled more expensive because they are "authentic". Unfortunately, and I really hate to say it, this item is definitely one of those. But at least the wooden handle is niceā€¦ so far after one use.
