“The cutting board is soft, but tough. It's softness tends to offer some resistance to knife edges. Although we're used to sliding the knife on a harder board to fully slice through stuff, it's actually not really necessary as the softness allows the knife to dig deeper and thus, less sliding is necessary to cut through. It takes a little getting used to.”

“Asahi synthetic rubber makes the perfect cutting board for cutting vegetables. It goes easy on the blades of my Japanese knives. 1/4” is perfect height for home kitchen. You can cut on both sides. Portable. Fits in drawers.”

“Easy on knife blade. Takes sometime to get used to. Good for cutting fish and prep work. Rice on sushi rolls stick to board”

“This is an outstanding cutting mat. Perfect for raw meet, fish or chicken. Even traditional kitchens should use Asahi’s mats or cutting boards.”
