“The Shapton Stone Holder was on sale at a decent price so I felt I would give it a try. Note that I also have a Suehiro Stone Holder...which is a great item, so didn't really need the Shapton Stone Holder. Upon using it with my Glass Stones, I felt it worked well and felt justified in the purchase. However, I can also use the Glass stones in box that the Shapton Pro Stone come in with the box clamped in the Suehiro. So overall, the Suehiro is my favorite, and more versatile, but the Shapton Stone Holder works well for the Glass Stones and is more compact for storage and carry.”

“very convenient. makes it easier to carry all three stones to work. and it doesn't move at all so it provides me with a very steady sharpening base.”
