“Product arrived very quickly. Overall the folder is as described and looks functional but I have concerns about the quality and condition. The folder arrived with some creases already in the front and back panel that show through to the cover, so it looks used. The brass on the corners are marked and look used. The clear pocket that I added as an option was poorly glued and is already peeling off at the corners. I expected a better quality product for the price. I doubt it will stand up to a lot of use.”
“That there are front and back cover slots in which to put programs or other sheet music is useful. What I thought was going to occur was that the pieces which hold the music would be only partly attached. They're completely attached to the front and back of the folder. The folder is large enough that I can use either the elastics or the binder (with separate selection separators) and I'll have all my music in order or use the elastics alone, depending upon the quantity of music I have in the folder.”
“This binder improves singing quality by the choir. Each person can hold their music up nice and high, with the book relatively flat to the ground, and see the conductor in the 'vee' of the music. It's only a short glance to the music and back up to the conductor, and you can see the conductor in peripheral vision even when focusing on the music. Many of us even use them at rehearsals for this reason.”
“I ordered this binder just days before my performance of Mendelssohn's Elijah. My score had a spiral spine & was incredibly irritating to maneuver and flip through in a discreet manner. The binder made using my score much easier. The quality is incredible and the product looks sleek & professional. If an amateur alto would need more than one binder, I would buy this one over and over again. Great investment for all musicians - amateurs and professionals.”
“This is a great purchase! The customizability of this folder is wonderful so the folder will meet your needs. It is sturdy and light weight and a huge step up from the old choir folder I was using which had no straps to hold it open and no elastics to keep your music in. The only issue is very minor. When you first get the folder, it's a little stiff in the binding, which will become more pliant with use.”
“It is the exact model we purchased twenty years ago ...three ring possibilities as well as elastic cords to hold music . Thumb ribbon at the back for comfort...Great product.”
“I've been using the deluxe black choir folder for more than 15 years and I couldn't perform without it. The hand strap at the back makes all the difference. It is light enough so that you can hold multiple pieces of sheet music at a time and the textured leather-like feel helps to dissipate the sweat that comes from holding it for long periods. I order these folders yearly for new members of our choir and the service I receive from Ian at Small World Music Folder makes ordering a simple and pleasant affair. Whether I order strictly on-line or over the phone I've always received exactly what I've ordered and since the folders can be customized I'm not just ordering 20 of the same things.”
“This music folder came well recommended, and has lived up to that recommendation. I cannot fault it, except that the extra elastics that many folks will get are thinner and likely not as durable as those on the 'base' model. But the quality is good overall.”
