“Easy to hold during a performance. Strong and light. Easy to open the rings. I like that I can undo the ribbon that holds the 2 sides together when I need more room. Love the pencil holder!”
“Great binder! I have a few of them, because I sing in different choirs. I love the new ring system, easily opened with one hand. These binders last forever. I would like an extra thick pocket on the left instead of flat plastic though.”
“I'm a double bass player and I use this binder on jazz and wedding reception gigs. I mostly use it for single sheet fake book pages. I photocopy my favourite pieces so that I don't have to bring along 4 volumes of fake books to each gig, and I can easily share the binder with a piano player or guitarist. I love the elegant look of the binder which gives it a touch of class when I'm playing at high-end weddings or nice restaurants. It performs much as I expected. I like the pencil holder, the ease of opening the rings, and the way the pages turn smoothly and easily. I like the durable feel of the binder. It feels like it's going to last. Like someone else who reviewed the same item, as an instrumentalist I do wish there was an item available, with the same basic design and durability, that was modified more towards instrumental work. While the size of the rings are fitting the sheets I carry for now, it feels as though I will be coming to a limit soon, so something like 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" might have been better for me. I have no real need for the hand strap or the bottom strap, as the binder is used on a portable music stand. It would have been nice to have inner pockets be a bit larger to accomodate loose sheets or small booklets. Also, it might have been handy if there were actually two flaps that opened out from the inside of the covers to accomodate 4 pages, for larger jazz charts which I sometimes tape together, so those pages wouldn't hang outside of the binder. Overall, though, I really love this binder and I would highly encourage my musician friends to pick one up.”
