“I use my RAT stand for all my gigs. It folds up so well and stores easily. This is a very sturdy stand. I wish I had purchased the bag that goes with it. I was trying to save some $$ but it really needs the bag to carry it. I love my RAT stand!”
“I use this product as a music stand. It is very light making transport easy, very stylish garnering lots of admiring comments, and also very easy to adjust and adaptable to almost any space. The ruggedness is a big plus. However cost is a big deterrent. All the good usability features are available in competing lower cost products but not necessarily in one package like the RAT. To compete with a premium product you will need high value features not available on competing products. You could discover these through continuous product improvement and user interaction workshops. This review is one way to do it, but I strongly suggest meeting users face-to-face for their opinions. If you can't delight and satisfy the customer at a price they are willing to pay, then its time to cut losses and try another approach or product. In my personal experience, the RAT lacked depth on the ledge that holds up the music. I often place my music folder there and when doing that, there isn'y enough room left over for the music. I solved the problem by duct taping a ledge extension in. That did the trick!!! Suggestions for improvement: 1) lower price; 2) 3 inch music ledge; 3) a mechanism to hold music in place under winy outdoor conditions; 4) have another look at how the product can be used with an eye to unintended features; e.g., the ruggedness and material makes the stand perfect for outdoor use; how could I enhance those features (afterall this is a premium product and the customer expects to be delighted and surprised for the price). Perhaps I have waxed on a little too much. Nevertheless, I hope you develop this into a highly successful product. I am completely satisfied with mine. Cheers, Paul”
