The Alesis M1 Active 320 USB Monitors provide me with a monitoring solution adequate for my current needs in a small project studio set-up in a fairly confined space. If used at modest volume levels, they perform well, but I wouldn't rely on them solely in a large room where you may need to crank the volume up. They also lack a bit in bottom end for any demanding situations, but overall they are very good for their size, and build quality is sufficient for what they are. All in all, a good choice for a smallish location.
