My daughter was so excited to get the package from Ireland. I organised this ring to replace one that she got from our Irish cousins that was stollen. We couldn't go back to Ireland to replace it so it was great to be able to order the ring on line from Ireland. The fact that it was made in Dublin, Ireland was very important to us both. “I wanted to love this ring. I love the history and the business model and I also love that this ring is handmade in Dublin, Ireland but I’m just not in love with the ring- not at all to say that the quality isn’t great. The details in the ring are really exquisite, a clear sign of expert handcraft. BUT the ring is much bigger than I thought it would be. The website doesn’t have a picture of the ring on a person’s hand so I looked for a different ring with the same dimensions shown in a picture and ordered based on that size. I don’t have small hands and I thought this was just too large. The thing that bothered me most about it is that it’s so flat. I’ve had a claddagh ring before and the reason why I’m purchasing another one is because I lost the original. My last claddagh was smaller in size (not tiny) and it also wasn’t flat. The heart was raised and had texture. I’m not sure if I’ll keep this ring. I’m wondering if it’s worth returning for a 20% restocking fee. Either way, I am a bit disheartened that I don’t love it. I was so excited for this ring to arrive.”
