8mm Silver History of Ireland RingMade in Ireland.This Sterling Silver 8mm History Of Ireland ring portrays our Irish Heritage in picture images. Each symbol represents an historic event throughout the ages. The story begins with the arrival of St Patrick to our shores who is thought to have been the first person to bring Christianity to our Island. Throughout the ages, we were invaded by the Vikings then the Normans. In 1840 we suffered a famine and as a result there was mass emigration to the USA. All of these symbols and more are portrayed on the ring. There are a total of 12 symbols telling our history, however, on the ring there are 8 symbols due to the circumference of the band.

Michael Hilliar was the original designer of this clever design and he won many awards for his talents and his unique design. Since then many designers have tried to copy his work by introducing new symbols that have no real meaning or capture the essence of our history. His style has been often copied but never equaled!

When Michael decided to retire 6 years ago he worked very closely with one of our Irish manufacturers as he wanted his good work to be continued. As a result he has allowed his design to be modified in small ways with the introduction of new symbols, one of them being 'the circle of life' The shape of the ring has also changed, now a domed shape and made in comfort fit. This ring is truly fabulous and so comfortable to wear.

This ring is a 'Must Buy' for the person who expects the highest standards imaginable with unrivaled craftsmanship. This is a ring you would wear with pride and is the perfect Unisex ring.

Made in Ireland and hallmarked by the Dublin Assay Office. ( An independent government body responsible for quality control of precious metals )
