The only annoying thing is I really like the eucalyptus and peppermint pads but the only way to get them is direct from mypurmist so the shipping costs are way too expensive and you can’t get them anywhere in the uk. “I would rate the customer service 5 stars. Unfortunately, the unit emits an unpleasant odor that I found intolerable. It seems like something inside the unit releases the smell when it heats up. I worked closely with customer service to resolve the issue, and they were very helpful throughout the process. In the end, I had to return the unit, but they made the return process smooth, sending me a return label and issuing a full refund. I hope they can address the odor issue, as I would definitely consider purchasing the unit again.”
Thank you for your feedback. Mypurmist devices are made of BPA-free medical-grade elastomer, including the mask. The water refills are also BPA-free. Our mypurmist mask is made from medical grade latex-free elastomer and washable (not dishwasher safe). Therefore it is not harmful. However, you are more than welcome to remove the mask from the unit, clean with soap and fresh water, then hand dry. The new “plastic-like” smell could be because the unit is still brand new.
