Megan, out guide was wonderful. We enjoyed the history lessons she gave as we floated. Mike, did a great job with the presentation before we all paddled.Great day.

Our extended family of 9 had a great time paddling the French Broad. We had to reschedule so missed the option with lunch. We all want a full day experience now with Brooke. She is the best guide ever.

I’ve been rafting with the NOC for about 25 years, but this was our first trip down the French Broad. We had an awesome adventure with our guide, Colleen. She knew the river well and helped us have a great trip!

I have fished with guides many times and this is the best experience I have every had. Paul was amazingly patient and instructive. This was the first time fly-fishing for my wife and 16 year-old son. They loved it. We are already planning our next trip with Paul. He will put you on some great fish in a spectacular setting!

We were a party of 21 celebrating a wedding — ages in our group ranged from 15 to 63; a few of us had been whitewater rafting, many had not. One guest in her mid-50s was apprehensive about coming along. Granted, everything was in our favor: we had one of the most beautiful days of the summer, it had rained earlier in the week so the river was at a good level — all of which added up to a fantastic time! What a great way to enjoy being active outdoors in a beautiful spot without taking a sweaty strenuous hike. Our photos show lots of smiles in all the rafts! And the guest who had been the most hesitant was very happy she had come along, saying, “it was adventurous enough to be really fun, but not outrageously dangerous.”
