Shout out to zack, he was a great guide that was very informative, lively, and helped us have a safe trip. Great scenery and rapids even with the water levels up. Shout out to Nathan as well for the wonderful pictures that was a great Souvenir.

I took my kids (ages 9-11) on this trip, which I booked online for our vacation in Asheville. None of us had ever been whitewater rafting before. We all had a blast and the kids are excited to try more difficult courses (they were fighting over who got to ride in the front). Our guide was top-notch, and was great with working with kids (even with a child who lost his paddle about 5 times). It was a chilly day, but NOC provided all the wetsuit gear to make it a nice time. Lunch was wonderful, with a great selection, and was on a beautiful island in the middle of the river. We will definitely be back and probably will plan a trip to Asheville just so we can go again. Highly recommend. No trip to Asheville would be complete without a rafting trip with NOC.

We had a group of 11 family members (mostly kids) do a half day trip down section 9 of the French Broad. We had a fantastic time! The level of rapids were perfect for our group, which was a mix of adventure seekers and inexperienced/nervous first-timers. Lunch was delicious and the guides were awesome. Special shout out to our super fun guide Michael! Thank you for the wonderful memories!

We went to the NOC French Broad Outpost location and was very impressed with the service and expertise. My Mother-in-law went for the first time and she had a great experience. Staff was friendly and you could tell they were good at their jobs. This location was pretty and we actually had a picnic before our rafting trip began. It was peaceful and in a nice area. Our guide was Emily, who was friendly and knew her stuff. 10/10 would go again.

My children (10 and 13 years old) and I took the French Broad River half day deluxe trip at the end of June. The French Broad outpost was clean and well-maintained. The safety instruction review given by the lead guide was reiterated with a video. Both were practical and to the point. The bus trip to the water was about 10 minutes long. We had Alex as our guide and he was great. Alex was highly competent, friendly, informative, and playfully engaged my children. I felt like we were in good hands as we navigated rapids. There were only three of us and our guide in one raft and I was a little apprehensive. We had a fun and thrilling time. The scenery was beautiful. We saw quite a few great blue herons. Lunch was well-organized and well-provisioned. I don't know how NOC compares to other outfitters, but I was very impressed. I called with questions prior to booking and the lady on the phone was very helpful. There were two guides who rode in duck boats. They helped the rafts over a tricky spot and took photos. To me, this outfitter does a good job of taking care of patrons. I look forward to taking another rafting trip with NOC when I am in Eastern TN/Western NC.

My wife and myself traveled to Marshall NC to raft the French Broad River on a full day trip. When we arrived we found the water was too low to travel into Hot Springs. I can understand they have no control over this situation. We instead took a half day trip. Our guide Kent made this a day to remember by his demeanor and knowledge of the history of the river. He and the other guides treated us like family. They prepared a buffet lunch at riverside and we ate watching and listening to the river. The river has enough rapids to keep us in action most of the time and wet all the time. We will return when the water rises and enjoy the full day package in the fall. I can't say enough about this company and their employees.
