“All 6 of us had lots of fun, on our guided whitewater raft trip on French Broad; some daring glides over Rapids, but always felt safe! Very good orientation, regarding procedures and safety. Guide Robert was excellent at keeping us all involved in the paddling, steering, etc. The lunch served mid-trip was a tasty picnic, with several food choices. Never any doubts with NOC-- they are the best!”

“I took 11 members of my family on the French Broad this past Saturday; including my 11 year old daughter and my 72 year old mother. Everyone had a blast! Lars was the team leader and took care of all of us. Lunch on the small island was a fabulous pit stop, the food was wonderful.. overall it was a finely run operation and we had a lot of fun! Thanks Lars, Nathan and crew!”

“We had a great time. The staff was very friendly, safe and professional. Our guide was great. The river was beautiful. Lunch was fairly good, about as good as you'd expect being food we brought with us in the raft and served by the crew. Ride felt a little short for the money, and finished soon after lunch was served. I would give it about a 4.3 out of 5 overall.”

“I took my two girls, ages 12 & 16, as well as my 73 year old mother. I was concerned that I‚Äôd be worried about all 3 of them, but the trip was great. Not too much work and just the right amount of thrills and excitement. Don‚Äôt expect anything more than 2s and mild 3s. Lars, our guide was amazing. He was contentious of my mother and did most of the work with some good guidance of when he needed our assistance. He was very knowledgeable of the river and we enjoyed our talks. I‚Äôd ask for him if I were you. Lunch was great and it was on an island. We got to watch other groups go down the rapids while we ate. My only objection was that we weren‚Äôt on the water long. Water was high and fast, so we made the trek rather quickly. We reported at 9:30, were briefed and probably got in the water around 10:15. Even with stopping for lunch, we were back before 12:30 and that included the drive back on the bus. Still a lot of fun.”

“I took my 73 year old mother, along with my two girls (age 12 &16). I was concerned I‚Äôd be worried about all 3 of them but the experience was perfect. Challenging but not scary. Water was on the higher side so the trip was faster. Only thing I would‚Äôve liked is more time on the water. Our report time was 9:30 and we were back, even with a lunch stop on the water banks, by a little after 12. Our guide Lars was amazing.”

“The entire experience was amazing from start to finish. I felt safe based on the initial instructions given before we ever hit the river. Our guide did such a great job providing great direction while on the water allowing our team to really enjoy the adventure. Can't wait to come back for zip lining.”
