“I completed this trip with my twin sons and father in law two summers ago when the boys were five years old. We live near Toronto in Canada, and picked it up as an option while driving home from a vacation further south. It was a blast then. So much so that we returned this time around with Mommy, Grandma and the twins’ younger brother, who was now old enough to enjoy the rafting as well. Both times, our NOC guides did a fabulous job. Our only disappointment was a small one ... The twins were looking forward to buying replacement Pigeon River Rafting shirts in the small gift boutique to replace their well loved shirts from two summers ago. Because we were traveling late in the season (school was already back in session in TN), the children’s shirts were all sold out. We’ll have to get replacements next time when we come for an adventure on the bigger whitewater of the Upper Pigeon River next time around.”

“With our littlest cousin only being three made this rafting trip a great option. Even the older kids enjoyed the water/ squirt gun fights. Our guide was good and entertained the group with surfing some of the “Rapids” and doing some spins with the group. The biggest down side is the tour photos. The charge for the pictures is based on the number of rafters in the group. For the overall cost of the trip I would think some photos would be included or at least the cost structure would be equal for all participants instead of the number of people in a party. Larger parties are already paying more to participate.”

“Glad we took this whitewater trip with our grandchildren. The pre-safety tips along with the instructional video were very helpful and our guide, Chris, was knowledgeable, courteous, and made the downriver trip a fun adventure.”

“We had a great time pn tjhe lower Pigeon River. We had 4, five year olds with us and it was a perfect first time experience for them. Our guide was knowledgeable and was seemed to enjoy it as much as we did even though I am sure he had done this many times!”
