“Awesome experience. Wonderful river , guides , check in , and facility. Only one minor item was locker rental. Really no upfront information. Had to figure it out at the time of check in. Staf was very helpful. Recommend it definitely!”

“We were a group of family members ranging in age from 7 years old to 68 years old. We had two rafts and guides that were so much fun. Sarah kept her raft going, while Brad amused us with his corny jokes. We even got to participate in rescuing a couple of people who fell in.....loved the very last rapid. Such thrills and great family fun.”

“This was a pleasant and professional experience from the very beginning. The customer service person I spoke with (a few times) was great. The checkin was easy and the young lady at the counter was happy and set the mood for our experience. Maura was the best guide EVER!! She never forgot a name and included my granddaughters in the everything. She joked with us, answered all our questions and pointed out the uniqueness of the river. Her love of the river showed throughout the whole experience. Two small things-please give your guests better information as to how to access the parking. We missed the small concrete bridge and had to turn around (not easy!!) and when announcing the names at the picnic tables, maybe give your instructor a bull horn (or something similar). We were talking and didn't realize they were calling names until someone informed us. These two small things in NO WAY dampened the fun we had on that day! Thank you”

“We loved Nantahala Outdoor Center. It is a playground for adults and children. Lots to do and great service and professionalism. We loved our raft trip. So fun and very well managed. We felt safe at all times. This place does very good training on their guides, so they are to be trusted! Thanks for a wonderful day.”

“The experience was great. Our guide was awesome... Drew. It was a family of 7. 2 grandparents, 2 adults and 3 kids. He made the trip enjoyable for all of us. He gave us a bunch of information about the local wildlife and environment. And my youngest, Sophia, had a blast splashing water around with him. I still catch my girls screaming BEAVERSHARK!!! Love it!”
