“Had an awesome time paddling down the river with Big Joe as our guide. We learned a lot about the area and were skillfully guided through the rapids. Can’t wait to go back and do this run again. Highly recommend NOC and ask for Big Joe!”

“Took my Grandson on his first rafting trip and we will be back this year!! Cooper, our guide was lighthearted and educational, all while looking like Man Mountain McCoy. :>) :>) Hope we can get him again this year.”

“Big joe was super helpful and made the experience so much better, he was a wonderful guide teaching us so much about the rivers wildlife, and culture of the nantahala origins and Cherokee Indians. “We were celebrating a friend's 63rd birthday. What a wonderful day. When, not if, we go back we will definitely ask for Jess. Our tour guide Jess was experienced, great fun and expertly maneuvered our raft.”

“We've been running the Nanty with the Nanatahala Outdoor Center for all our adult lives (as well as multiple other rivers) and we have had some great guides but now Landon is definitely the one to beat! He was great with our eight year old that was making her first whitewater rafting trip!!! She had a blast!!! She was grinning ear to ear the whole time!!! (I sort of hate it for her because she's so young and she started out with the best guide ever!!!) He was equally good with the middle schooler and the adults also: personable, entertaining, sincere, comfortable and competent on the river, etc. He gave us all a great day on the river!!!”

“First time white water rafting so we were all a bit nervous. Six of us from ages 52 to 14. Had a blast. Our guide Chase was awesome and made the trip even more exciting and fun. Would def come back. Nantahala is a beautiful place to visit.”

“Wonderful adventure, everyone we encountered went above & beyond to ensure we were safe, well treated, and above all had a good time. Can’t remember off hand the name of the restaurant across the river (Rivers End maybe), but best food we had, pizza was out of this world.”
