“My wife and I took this class. Really had a great time. It was very late in the season so we may have had an unusually small class; but the teacher was basically one on one, giving individualized instruction. I had no prior whitewater experience and I now have so much respect for the sport. We also really enjoyed the whole NOC campus. We stayed in one of the cabins (very cute) and we ate at both the pub for lunch and drinks and the restaurant twice for dinner. We both had a fantastic weekend. Can’t wait for next year and visiting again.”

“I've done multiple trips (and taken a few instructional courses) with the NOC over the last 20 years, and have always had positive experiences. I think this most recent course was my favorite so far! Brian is an exceptionally skilled and patient teacher, and the entire weekend was awesome. I can't wait to go back for the next level of instruction!”

“The guides, Squral & Zack, our kayak guides and instructors were the greatest. Day one we learned many of the basics and then they had us on the Little Tennessee River for approximately five miles on river training and a great time. Day two two we were on the Tuskasegee River with more rapids, great scenery, lots of folk lore and the same instructors making your paddling trip safe and rememorable for all 10 miles.”

“My son and I took the two day beginners paddle class and found it both fun and instructional. The pace was good for our 4 person class. The river runs were great! Our instructor Curtis was very good and adapted to each student’s strengths and weaknesses in his approach. In two days I learned a lot about what I can practice to improve and what kayak features I should look for when I purchase one.”

“NOC is an awesome outdoor center! They have fun outdoor activities for everyone! Our 2 day kayak adventure was amazing, we learned a tremendous amount, always felt safe with our great guide Andrew and super enjoyed Paddling the whitewater Rivers❣️ The shopping at NOC Outfitter’s store was great fun! Thanks for a great weekend, can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend NOC❣️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“NOC went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, our instructor Mark was a absolute phenomenal guide, you could tell he loved his job introducing people to the sport. All in all I would definitely recommend NOC.”
