“This was our third time with NOC down the Chattooga River. This time we took the grandchildren ages 11 years and 9 years. We all had a great ride and fun, safely supervised by the NOC staff. The afternoon run was beautiful in full sunlight, and the river sparkled and splashed over the rocks so that you just wanted to get in the river to cool off. Dan, the team supervisor, conducted a guide lottery and we got "Sam." We were fortunate, it was a perfect match. Thanks to "Sam" our raft guide, we didn't lose anyone. Samantha was engaging on the trip, asking the kids about their life experiences while sharing some of the things that created her love of the river and that keep her coming back in the summers. Several interesting additions on the trip that we had not experienced previously were an opportunity to body surf through a rapid and the creation of competition among rafters by, in effect, rigging the rafts as a sort of pontoon bridge and encouraging us to run the length of the bridge while "trolls" tried to knock us off balance. Great fun and hilarity. The grand kids want to return soon. I'm getting pretty old, but I am going to run this stretch at least once more -- oh, shoot, until I can't go anymore!”

“What a great day on the Chattooga! This trip, just like all NOC trips, was professional run from start to finish. The trip involves straight rafting along with a lunch stop and 2-3 extra stops for swimming, jumping and games. I was rafting with my two adult children and while they are in excellent physical shape, I am not. The guides all work hard to make the experience a positive one for everybody, from the younger kids and folks like me. Our guide Will O (Willow!) was a perfect fit for us - just the right amount of talking and explaining, always positive, and completely professional. NOC puts safety first, which is why I have rafted with this company since the 1980s. But because all of the guides are professionally trained, they are able to keep us all safe and make it all super fun. We had a great time and can't wait to come back. Thanks NOC!”

“Had a phenomenal time on the river with this outfit. It was perfect for myself, my wife and three kids. We did section 3 which had enough rapids to thrill us, including a class 4, but was still good for a family with novices. All the Guides were excellent, very personable, and made the trip a 5 star trip. Our guides name was AK and she was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.”

“You HAVE to choose NOC. No, I'm not being paid to say this. I've trusted them three times now, twice with my own children, and they have proven themselves to be the most competent, fun, safe, entertaining, knowledgeable outfitter I've ever worked with. (And I used to book outfitter trips.) We will be back. Many. Many. Times.”

“Great time on the river with my family. The entire experience, from planning , registering,, and rafting was a breeze. NOC has great facilities, equipment and personnel. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering a great time taking on some white water.”

“The staff and organization of the full day trip was excellent. Our guide was energetic and full of interesting information along the way. He was especially helpful to me, and 81 year old) in getting my footing on the rocky river bottom on more than one occasion! Much appreciated! Our only druther for the day was a wish for more rapids. I guess that is under the control of nature and the river, but more of the challenges and thrills that the rapids present would have been great.”
