My son and I and a couple of his friends went white water rafting down the Chattooga River today. It was the section III with Lunch trip. We all had a blast!! The guides were super cool and made it lots of fun. Highly recommend this trip!! There is one big rapid and a lot of medium size rapids. Loved loved the guides! So far the highlight of our Mountain vacation.

Outstanding day trip by NOC- they did a great job of making our raft trip exciting. The class 4 rapids were a blast, the swimming in the rapids was an added trip bonus, along with great lunch and our guide Patrick was excellent. I've done higher class rapids on other trips, but this one was a blast for the family so give it a try.

A group of 8 families (25 people including kids from 9-15 years old and 13 adults) had an AMAZING time on the Chattooga River, Section 3. The guides were OUTSTANDING, and everyone had a wonderful time in a beautiful environment. Besides the rapids, which ranged from light to extreme, the guides provided numerous opportunities to explore the river - swimming a rapid, the troll bridge, and jumping into the end of Bull Sluice all added to the enjoyment. We previous rafting the Lower Pigeon, Nantahala, and French Broad. This is a nice step up in technical rafting and excitement as the kids have gotten older. I highly recommend this river (and NOC!) to anyone who enjoys rafting and nature.

Had a perfect afternoon on the river with NOC. Our guide Benton made us feel comfortable, provided excellent directions and local information, and guided us perfectly down the river. Water level was a low for our trip but we were able to go through the rapids/drops. We were stuck a few times but it seemed normal. We had 2 adults and 3 kids (aged 11, 12, 13) and it was a first experience for all. The orientation is appropriately intimidating as one should take rafting seriously, but the guides make it a safe and fun day on the river. Our trip leader was engaging and always calm. All guides scouted rapids together and were highly organized and communicative to ensure safety for all. Lunch provided is filling and good - my only critique is that we had a lot of food waste for our trip which was unfortunate. I recommend that rafters ask for water at the various spots to stay hydrated. They have it available but don't remember to offer it every time. We stopped often for swim and activity breaks. Pace was perfect. It's an expensive outing for a family but a highly enjoyable and memorable activity.

We have rafted the Ocoee and the Colorado in Moab, UT, but this is by far my favorite. We opted to reserve the intermediate course. It is on an all natural river with decent rapids including about a 4 ft fall. It is about a 5 hour trip that includes a lunch. The lunch was set up on an upside down raft and the guides set up a sandwich and snack bar. The food was great for what it was. Hummus and jam are home made and you need to try it. One of the guides taught me how to make "cheesecake" Oreo, cream cheese and some of the homemade strawberry jam. We had six rafts that was on our tip and even though all the guides were great, you have aspecial connection with your guide, which in our case was Eric92 (there's 2 Erics). He was fantastic. They design the other stops not just for fun, but not to run into other rafting companies that are in the river. There is great cooperation there. Be prepared for a hike to and from the bus to the river. Have nice water shoes. Thanks NOC for a GREAT time.

Our family of three kids ages 10-12 and two adults rafted Chattooga section III and had an amazing time. It was a heavy downpour of rain throughout much of the trip and it created an adventurous atmosphere in our group, resulting in an experience we will never forget! Our guide, Carrie, was superb and the heavy rain made for a fast moving river with larger than normal rapids. Highly recommended!
