“After visiting the NOC off and on for 37 years, my wife and I finally took raft trips on two consecutive days on Section III of the Chattooga. The experience lived up to being some of our most enjoyable trips ever. The guides and staff from the NOC were outstanding, and not only was the paddling enjoyable, but the whole "river trip experience" from leaving Wesser to returning to Wesser was great. I cannot recommend this trip enough. If you like experiencing pristine Southern Appalachian rivers/gorges via watercraft, you will love this trip.”

“My husband and I had the most thrilling time on our white water rafting adventure on the Chattooga! Everything was well organized and planned for our safety and enjoyment! Patrick, our guide was very knowledgeable about the river and wildlife. His wonderful personality made us feel like family, instead of guests! Great experience! Highly recommend the Nantahala Outdoor Center for their white water rafting adventures! Can‚Äôt wait to go again!”

“This was an amazing trip. My wife, daughter (11 yrs old), and dad (70 yrs old) had never been rafting. This was a perfect section for a first timers trip. Our guide, was awesome! He was very knowledgeable of EVERYTHING around us, from rafting, plants, fish, the forest...just very knowledgeable. Turns out he previously taught Environmental Science. He explained the larger rapids for my daughter and made her feel very comfortable. We could not have asked for a better first timers trip and Owen was, by far, one of the best guides I've been on a river with.”

“Absolutely amazing trip!! I had never been white water rafting and I’m 72. I had so much fun and the guides were fun but above all put the safety of the participants first. Our guide was adept at rafting as well as explaining the environment and its history. He even pointed out a special plant called a “sensitive”. I would recommend this trip to old and young. I had my 8 and 9 year old granddaughters with me. They loved it , as well!! Kudos to NOC!!”

“This was my first white water rafting trip! I had an amazing experience!! Jimmy was funny, professional, and skilled!! I can’t say enough! The scenery was breathtaking!! I highly recommend them!!!”
