“Due to travel, age, COVID recovery or whatever my first day on the Nantahala was the worst I have experienced (I've paddled the river since the late 70s). Kyle fished me out from swims and offered heartfelt encouragement. That night I thought about bailing on day 2. Second day turned out to be an awesome experience and I paddled lines and hit boofs I have never done in the past and hit all my rolls. Kyle, our guide, and Elaine, participant, offered the best support possible. This class exceeded expectations and after day 2, I'm planning to return in 2022.”

“Andrew was patient and kind--and he also had good teaching techniques. My spouse and I improved the techniques we had and learned new ones, and that's saying a lot because we're not either naturally athletic nor intuitively great paddlers. It was an intense but wonderful weekend.”
