“I lived in the mountains for 10 years and never took myself to the NOC and I regret it! This was the most amazing experience! I‚Äôve never been white water rafting, I regularly kayak, and was super scared to go down the river. But it was amazing! I rented one of their one person duckies and absolutely loved it! I didn‚Äôt even get dumped out! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I can‚Äôt wait to go back! It will be my yearly birthday gift to myself for sure!”

“Western North Carolina is a special place. NOC is the crown jewel of the area, offering something for everyone. We came to the center with a group of first-time Ducky paddlers with very little experience. NOC set them up with instruction and gear and everyone had a great time. We will be back many times to the NOC.”

“Tried to do a ducky run on the Nantahala for August 2020. Everyone on the trip has to go in their shuttle. Really? In the middle of a national pandemic, you want my family to get into your shuttle with random other people? I offered to tail the van in my own car. No complexity, I'm right behind you. Nope. Staff can't handle it, "it's too complex." Really? Having someone follow your van is too hard for your staff? I've been paddling with NOC for more than 30 years. Have to say I'm disappointed. I expected better.”

“Not our first trip with NOC and certainly won't be our last. Equipment is always in good shape, guides available if needed (we didn't use one) and helpful information and instruction on going down the river. Great experience”
