“The room was great since both of us ladies are "mature" and need lower bunks, plus it gave us room to spread out our gear, unlike our second night spent in a 2 person room. It took 10 minutes for me to figure out how I was going to get out of the top bunk. *Little old ladies do not bounce when they fall; they break. It was nice to have the ramp to the building since one of our party had injured her foot. Having told the check-in desk one of us was injured, we were told there was only a few short steps to get to the building. There were 2 flights of stairs to get to our building! Not easy for someone who has injured their foot. Another note: it rained overnight. As I was carefully making my way down the second flight of stairs, my feet slipped out from under me, causing me to fall, hitting my hips, back and head on the stairs themselves. When alerting front desk at check-out about this, the reaction was "We'll get maintenance on it." Hopefully wider slip strips have been installed on the stair treads. *Little old ladies do not bounce when they fall; they break! Neither do youngsters.”

“Due to restrictions, I was in a 4-person room which was nice and roomy. I had a good evening in the area and appreciated all that NOC did for me. I had some parking issues, but it all worked out with no problems.”

“NOC is a great place to go, even in the winter. Bunk rooms are not the Ritz but are clean and warm.”

“I wish I could give this a great because we LOVE being at NOC but the room was rather musty smelling. We did not turn on the unit because it looked dirty. The shower was wonderful as was the food and the experience of sitting by the river after a week on the trail. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the mask requirement during this time of Covid-19.”

“Enjoyed the stay. Clean convenient rooms. Great burgers in Rivers End overlooking creek. Great store for backpacking supplies and AT souvenirs.”
