This is our NM Boxspring, which comfortably fits and works with all the mattresses we offer. Made from solid wood carefully handcrafted in Canada, it is quality built and buries up nicely to make a sturdy base for your mattress. With our 7" Standard Height Solid Wood Pedestal Foundation and reinforcing corner guards, this foundation lasts as long as your mattress does. “Firm and steady, but because it is a split, it makes creaking noises now and then and creates an unbalanced firmness in the center of the mattress.”

“The box spring wood slats are repurposed wood. My 20 year old backyard wood fench looks better than the wood on these box springs. The worse part is that they smell of damp wood and mold. Not sure how to proceed as no refund policy only exchange. What good is it to get other boxsprings if this is their custom.”

Hey Ted, the box spring is made up of the same wood used in all boxsprings from many various manufacturers. It is all made with new material and you can see the details on the "new materials tag" attached to the box spring.
