Trammune® contains the active ingredient: Trametes versicolor proteoglycan concentrate. The extract derived from the medicinal mushroom Trametes versicolor is what we refer to as PSK (this medicinal mushroom is also known as coriolus versicolor, Kawatake, Yun Zhi and the Turkey Tail Mushroom).
PSK is commercially extracted from the mycelial walls of the mushroom using a multi-step hot water extraction process. By using the strict testing specifications, and a sophisticated analytical “fingerprint” method of testing, customers can be assured that every batch of Trammune® offers quality, purity, potency, and consistency. Trammune® brand of PSK (AUST L 128882) is an Australian made and owned product.
Trammune® is available in a bottle of 90 capsules with each capsule containing 500mg Trametes versicolor proteoglycan concentrate. The concentrated pure extract provides a more consistent amount of active ingredient and should not be confused with the amount of raw mushroom from which the extract is derived. Each bottle is secured with two safety seals. There have been no reported drug interactions with the use of PSK.
Dose and Usage
As with most health supplements, it is suggested that Trammune® be taken on a regular basis. The recommended dosage is 3 (maintenance dose) to 6 (therapeutic dose) capsules per day taken 2-3 times a day or as prescribed by your Healthcare practitioner. The capsules are best taken at least 30 minutes prior to food unless you have a sensitive stomach then we suggest it be taken with food.
