“Some nutritionists advise lower protein for senior dogs as a precaution against renal issues - rubbish - holistic Vets and Nutritionists know that blood test results from raw-fed versus kibble-fed dogs should be interpreted differently than by conventional Vets and Nutritionists. Ageing dogs should be fed good levels of protein to protect against muscle wastage as they get less mobile (the heart is a muscle) and this diet is rich in protein with less bone for easier digestion.”
