“My doggies love this food - it's not the cheapest but it is the best quality. The packaging is also probably one of the best, using all recyclable materials, which is another reason i've stuck with naturaw. I've used other brands, and all of them fall short on the packaging (able.dog was also a fave but their packaging is awful!).
The only reason i give it 4 out of 5 and not the full 5 is for one reason only! And that's the piece of paper that is stuck to the bottom of the raw food - it's just not needed! The cardboard tray has a coating on it anyway, which means the food doesnt stick and can be easily washed clean. Why is this piece of paper (that often takes a layer of the food with it when pealing it off!) even there?
Sometimes this paper is missing (the odd tray) and just shows that it's just not needed (the paper cant really be washed as it tears and then if put in the bin, makes the bin stink!)...
Please please please remove the paper and you've got a 5/5 and the best raw dog food on the market!!!”
Hi Stephen
Thankyou for your kind words, the small sheet of paper under the product may look insignificant but it’s an essential part of the manufacturing process – in basic terms it allows us to portion the meat more accurately, as it stops the product sticking to the conveyor belt resulting in uneven pack sizes.
Without it, every pack would have to be manually weighted by hand resulting in a cost increase.
It's greaseproof, so does not absorb any moisture from the food.
Hope this helps explain
Naturaw team 😊
