Fantastic product. It arrived within a couple of days and it is very easy to use. The screen for viewing is really clear. Very pleased with it.

We've been using a Special Ops Elite HP 4 for a couple of years now to watch foxes and hedgehogs (and cheeky mice raiding hedgehog's food!) in our garden and decided to extend the coverage to another area. We bought the updated HP5 model, installed it round the corner from the HP 4 and spent a long time this morning exclaiming about just how much the video quality has been improved. It was always very good with the HP 4 but now can only be described as excellent, we'll be counting the spines on hedgehog's back at this quality! Well worth the extra and renewable batteries definitely save a lot of expense over a year.

I purchased a Browning Spec Ops Elite HP5 at the end of March. So, I could continue to watch for Hedgehogs in our garden. I had been doing this for a few years with cheaper cameras but the video quality is really so much better with Browning. So far, no hedgehogs but have seen how foxes get past our pond netting to catch & eat mating frogs. What I really liked is the cameras ability to use rechargeable batteries. I used 2 year old enloop pro on 10 sec videos at night and so far in the first month have taken 1,241 on one charge before the camera warned of a low charge. Also, the ability that during the night on 10 second videos if more movement is detected it records for 20 seconds then under 1 second for the next video. I think there will be a second purchase. :-)

Since purchasing my HP5 dark ops it has been in operation constantly for nearly 6 months now and the battery life indicator is still showing 100% on the original AA lithium batteries that I installed when purchased. Video/picture quality is top notch, lots of great features in the easy to navigate menu Its an expensive trail cam but with the savings i am making on not having to constantly replace the batteries makes the initial cost worthwhile. I have owned several trail cameras over the years and i can say hands down, that this is the best i,ve ever owned.

After reading an earlier review I was a bit concerned about battery life, however, I need not have worried. After running it day and night for a week and capturing close to 100 assorted stills and videos, the original batteries are still going strong, and they are just cheap alkalines! Very pleased with this purchase.
