“This was purchased to attempt finding a missing pet cat. Whilst as yet we have not been successful, that has been due to any lacking in the Flex. Picture quality is very good as is video and we have never failed to receive transmission of previews even in poor signal areas.
The operation interface is simple to use and the ability to log in from multiple devices is useful in a search as it would be in other observation. If I had a criticism at all it would be that when changing sensitivity, photo to video or report settings the default is that it will update settings on the next contact to camera. But if you are on for example a 4 times a day update of pictures (to conserve battery) but need a burst of higher frequency, etc. then 'normal' operation does not undertake the update until the next due cycle, which could be too late. However, a 'work around' can be to alter the sync time (though do not make this much closer than 30 mins or it may not update in time) your settings will then be updated fairly quickly and you can revert once the need for high intensity monitoring has passed. I have also used this when monitoring a location that is busy with human traffic during the day to turn the system to once an hour 7am to 6pm and then to instantaneous for the night.”
