“The camera itself is good and the ideoes are clear. It is let down by clusy software though. Linking camrea to wifi and, in my case, android phone was long winded and the instructions didn't quite match the reality.
Downloading clips is also clumsy. You get notified when the camera captures somethingbut clicking on it only takes you to a live view not the actual clip. The only way I'e found to ie the is to use the timeline to scrollwhich in iself is also clusy. You then hae to record what will be dowlonaded. No option to just download awole clip.
Also, not clear how to change settings.Manual isn't insnc with software and you have to go all over the place to figure it out. Why? As an ex IT perdon this looks to me to hae been designed by developers from a purley techy aspect.
Software really does need some work.”
“I confidently purchased my first nature camera and tripod following a chance comment from a friend. The website is very informative and clear. A very sensible/affordable entry price. What really attracted me is that the camera is directly linked to my phone and tablet, so I can quickly and easily follow what is happening in my garden - without the bother of taking out the memory card and plugging into the PC. Distance doesn't appear to be a problem - still linked to the WiFi even though currently placed at the bottom of the garden to monitor the blue yit nesting box. The tripod is great, meaning i can confidently locate the camera in multiple locations with complete stability. Delivery was so fast! I was up and running 26hrs from placing the order.”
“I’m so pleased I chose a Wildcam 2. It is absolutely brilliant. I found it easy to set up to the Wi-Fi and love the fact alerts get sent to the App on my phone. I opted for the tripod, which allows me to set it up in various locations in the garden.
I like the fact I can change the night mode via the app from infra red to colour light mode.
There is also flexibility to record live clips to my phone.
My primary reason for getting a Wildcam 2 was to watch hedgehogs in the garden, but on the first day, it took footage of a cat (which is missing). I’m now using it to track the cat, with the help of the local cat expert, to reunite it with its owner.
It has also captured multiple hedgehogs, a rat, mice and a fox. The latter decided to have a chew on the camera, and I was very impressed with the swift response and help from Harry at Naturespy, who was able to supply a spare rubber cowl.
I would highly recommend this camera and the company, who have introduced me to the wonderful world of the night garden.”
“This camera is absolutely fab!! The quality of the pictures/videos is wayyyy better than I was expecting and the camera has so many awesome features! Bought this as a present for my mum and she LOVES it!!! Won’t stop showing everyone the foxes she’s videoed in the garden would 100% reccomend to anyone looking for a top range WiFi wildlife camera!!”
“I've been testing the camera today. This is my third wildlife camera; the others are working in the community garden.
The only thing I would like about the camera is the ability to log on and view footage via Bluetooth. With this camera, it looks like I will need to bring it home to view captures.
Still a very worthy 5 stars.”
