This was purchased as a gift for my brother. He loves to prepare the dinner salad.each evening. He loves this knife! It is a beautiful and useful addition to his kitchen utensils.

When I first looked at the knife it had fingerprints and smogs marks on the blade. That took away from my first impression of the knife. I would think for a company that charges top dollar for a product would insure start to finish of the knife would be top notch. The knife is very sharp.

We have been buying these knives for a while now and love them. On a trip to Napa we dropped our knives off to be sharpened (free service) and picked up a 6" Petty Peacock. They quickly turned around and shipped all of our knives home, (free again!) and we couldn't be happier. We will continue to do business with this top drawer knife shop and highly reccomend a visit.

I picked out this knife for my Mom who wanted something smaller than her Chef's knife. She is so thrilled with the Petty Peacock knife, perfect size, so sleek and gorgeous, and impressively sharp! LOVE this knife! I will be ordering a 9" Chefs knife to match for myself! Thank you!

Best knife ever - I own two. And this knife is my most used in the kitchen (I have three other New West knives I love, too, but I always reach for this one!). I had a professional knife sharpener out to sharpen my kitchen knives and he remarked at what incredible quality these knives are. He called them "super high end" and showed me all the reasons why (how thin but strong they are, etc). Seriously, best knives!
