Limited Edition: Snake River 6" Petty Reviews

5 Rating 11 Reviews
These knives are absolutely and positively by far the best knives we have EVER purchased!!! This limited edition was a birthday gift for my husband as we have been adding to his collection of New West knives ever since he discovered them in May of this year. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Many knives purchased over past few years. Never a concern. The Snake River Petty is same top tier function but with a unique style. Wish I had another!

I was thinking about getting a knife that was about the size of the Deli, but with a straight edge when the limited edition email came out about the Snake River Petty. I was too late to snatch up one of the Blue Burl Choppers a few months ago so I jumped on this one. Like the rest of my knives from New West, it's a fantastic tool in the kitchen and stunning to look at. My only wish is that the Snake River image was on both sides of the blade, like the Teton Santoku. My knives are displayed so the blades face to the right. Might have to think about redesigning the kitchen to accommodate it. Just kidding!

Nice enough knife, cuts well, but for everyday use, the 5" Chopper is my knife of choice.

I love the New West Knives. Visited the shop in Jackson Hole last summer. Great knife smiths who take pride in their products.

When I saw this knife come up, I knew I'd found my excuse to start adding New West blades to my kitchen. It is truly a work of art, and it almost feels sacrilegious to use it in food prep, but it feels even more sacrilegious NOT to. It cuts superbly, handles easily and looks beautiful. And as a Wyomingite born and raised who practically grew up on the Snake, it's a wonderful memory jog to happy times.
