Surviving Doomsday - Doomsday Book Highly Recommended - By C. Bruce Sibley 65 pages. Don't let the doomsday book cover scare you away from getting this book! That would be a great mistake. This Surviving Doomsday book sets out in clear understandable language details about nuclear armament of the Great Powers, the REAL effect of a nuclear explosion (includes many excellent colored charts and graphs), how to make your own shelter in your home, and examines the development of chemical and biological warfare. You'll quickly realize that there is a high probability that you will survive a nuclear, biological or chemical terrorist attack/war if you are prepared. This doomsday book is written in easy to follow laymans terms by a neutral 3rd party with no axe to grind either for the left or right wing extremes. Just factual information that can become lifesaving when crisis strikes. The ins & outs of these weapons are discussed and how you can plan to survive. Learn the real facts, not

I purchased this pamphlet from nitro-pak in November 2010. It was written in 1977 and does not appear to have been updated since, and frankly at nineteen bucks for sixty-two pages, it is grossly overpriced. As a slice of history from the height of the cold war as seen from a British "Defence Expert’s” perspective, it’s a moderately interesting read. It’s lavishly illustrated with charts and graphs and tables, and the author devotes considerable space to what are now 40-year-old weapons systems, status of forces, and orders of battle for the anticipated clash of NATO and the Red Army in Western Europe – none of which have any relevance to the American Ordinary Joe or Ordinary Jane who’s seeking preparedness information. It does have some useful general information, but nothing that is not contained in many other, better books and manuals. For what it is and for what it costs, pass it by.
