I was looking for some back-up supplies for the family. I had never purchased any in the past. I did several days of research....very thorough research and narrowed it down to a few companies. There ARE some good choices out there. But, I selected Nitro-Pack and placed my order. But, I had some issues with the online order process, which I have come to believe were caused by their website being over-loaded. So, I went "old fashioned" and called them. I got a lady named, Lisa, on the line and she was extremely helpful, understanding and pleasant. I am NOT a yeller or screamer or whiner, I just want things to work. Patience always wins in my book. Well, while on the phone call, the phone went dead. Again, I attributed to them being overloaded with calls from people wanting to order products because of the Ebola situation and other issues caused by the White House leadership. I tried calling her back, but all I got was a prompt to "leave a message". But, I persisted and after a half-an-hour, the phones were back! I got Lisa back on the phone and she went to work verifying my order and making sure everything was in order. She was the "face" of Nitro-Pack and was doing a great job under clearly trying tech issues with balancing web demand for products. So, we hung up and I went back to work. Well, she called me back and it seemed that the products I wanted were suddenly on "back-order" because of the unprecedented demand. Well, I was non-too happy and again, disappointed. Again, I could not blame her or Nitro Pack for the problem. MOST important was the end result. So, to wrap this up, Lisa, and the company, made everything right and threw in some nice bonuses because I had been patient and "very cool"..... She also shipped my products over-night at no charge because of the issues and inconveniences we all went thru. WE being the important word here. So, Nitro Pack? Yep, I would recommend them "hands down". You see the true character of a company when you see how they handle things during tough situations. I'll be a customer for life and would highly recommend them. That said, if you ARE buying emergency food supplies, I would also recommend buying from 2-3 companies, so you have some variety to choose from. By the way, Nitro Pack's food was and is great tasting, easy to store and easy to prepare. Be aware that when you do buy these kinds of products that there a re couple different ways to make the meals......just get some variety to make you life easy. Pick up a Biolite system and a Volcano stove, too.

Mountain House is by far the best when it comes to freeze dried foods and Nitro-Pak is the only place I go to look for this product. They have great prices and their customer service is outstanding.
